We love driving and we love traveling and so road trips are a perfect part of our trips. This trip we have quite some road trips planned and yesterday was our second one. We drove for about five hours and amazingly the time just flew by. Besides being amazed by the absolute beauty of this state and enjoying the view, we listened to podcasts, music, sang along and had some interesting discussions. Yesterday, it being Election Day and as both {M} and {J} have been following this election closely, there was enough to discuss. (But I won’t get into that here.) For our next roadtrip I am still looking for a karaoke app that works with Apple CarPlay (I’ve never actually karaoked, but I love singing in the car). Suggestions are welcome! Almost at our destination for the night we noticed Scranton, Pennsylvania on the signs and with two ‘Office’ fans in the car, we couldn’t just pass this town by.

We ended the day with a real American experience in a motel in the mountains, watching coverage of the election. Since I was very tired and our alarm was set for 3:30AM I just fell asleep and missed it all.
Driving to the airport this morning I feel grateful for days like yesterday, seemingly uneventful, but filled with that which matters most to me.
